About Mesorhabditis belari

The nematode Mesorhabditis belari is a diecious free-living worm which reproduces by pseudogamy: its rare male specimens are required for reproduction, even though the genetic material found in sperm is rarely used by eggs.

Genome Assembly & Annotation

Assembly

Illumina short- and Oxfornd Nanopore long-read sequencing data were used to construct a hybrid assembly of the genome using Sparse Assembler as described in Grosmaire et al (2019) supplementary materials.

Annotation

As described in Grosmaire et al (2019) supplementary materials, BRAKER was used to perform gene annotation.
